So 2009 is bringing lots of challenges at my book group! Here’s to hoping that these challenges keep me out of the slumps.
I am participating in a year long TBR vs. New Book Challenge, where I only want to purchase 10 brand new books this year and to read mostly from my TBR. I’ve made it 10 days and so far, I haven’t purchased 1 new book! That is like a record for me. I have however read through 2.5 books from Mt TBR. So far so good on this challenge.
The Eye Spy Challenge is a fun twist on a game we play at my group. This is a year long challenge. Each month there is a challenge word and the goal is to read a book with that word in the title. The 2009 words are:
January-Snow
February-Heart
March-Forever
April-Star
May-Rain
June-Magic
July-Murder
August-Dream
September-Harvest
October-Ghost
November-Type of Tree (so you can read books with Oak, Maple. Honeysuckle)
December-Christmas
